River’s Edge is a quiet, family-friendly campground in Eastern NC, located on the Bay River between Bayboro NC and Vandemere, NC. With over 700 feet of waterfront, two fishing piers, and a boat ramp, River’s Edge Family Campground offers campers the availability to enjoy Bay River’s beauty and bounty from the shoreline or by boat, kayak, canoe or whatever water toy you choose. At River’s Edge, we are truly a family campground: You may come as a stranger, but you will leave as family!
The weather is getting warmer, and it’s the perfect time to jump in a boat or sit on our pier and enjoy some fishing! Fishing is such a relaxing pass time, where you can sit in the quiet and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature. Then, if you’re lucky, you might even catch something fresh and delicious to cook up for dinner. It’s really a win-win situation!
Our campground has over 700 feet of waterfront and two fishing piers, so we’re in a prime location for some fishing on the Bay River. Some of the fish you can catch in the Bay River include: Speckled Trout, Red Drum, Flounder, Black Drum, Croaker, Spot, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Pin Fish, and Blue Crab. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like some good eating to me!
If you prefer ocean fishing over river fishing, you’re still in luck, because we are centrally located in beautiful Eastern NC and only a short drive from a number of NC’s breathtaking beaches. Whether you prefer surf fishing or deep sea fishing for your ocean fish, you’re in a great spot to get to a number of prime ocean fishing locations!
Once you’re done with fishing for the day, you can head on back to our campground to grill up today’s fresh catch for tonight’s dinner! If you had a good day, you might even have enough to invite your campground neighbors over to share the meal.
