River’s Edge is a quiet, family-friendly campground in Eastern NC, located on the Bay River between Bayboro NC and Vandemere, NC. With over 700 feet of waterfront, two fishing piers, and a boat ramp, Rivers Edge Family Campground offers campers the availability to enjoy Bay River’s beauty and bounty from the shoreline or by boat, kayak, canoe or whatever water toy you choose. At River’s Edge, we are truly a family campground: You may come as a stranger, but you will leave as family!
When you stay at River’s Edge Campground, you can enjoy the beauty of North Carolina’s cleanest river, Bay River. If you like to fish, then we’ve got good news for you: our campground has two fishing piers and over 700 feet of waterfront! Here are some of the fish that people commonly catch from our piers:
- Speckled Trout
- Red Drum
- Flounder
- Black Drum
- Croaker
- Spot
- Bluefish
- Spanish Mackerel
- Pinfish
- Blue Crab
All of these fish are delicious to eat! You can catch them fresh and then take them straight to your campsite to prepare for dinner. If you catch enough, you can even invite your neighbors over to share a meal.
If you’d like to leave the piers and venture out farther into the river, we have a boat ramp as well as onsite storage for your boat. With all of these options, River’s Edge Campground is a fisherman’s dream come true!
If fishing isn’t your cup of tea, you can still enjoy the beauty of the river on a kayak, boat, paddleboard, or canoe. Or you can dangle your feet from our pier while you bask in the sunshine.
