River’s Edge is a quiet, family-friendly campground in Eastern NC, located on the Bay River between Bayboro NC and Vandemere, NC. With over 700 feet of waterfront, two fishing piers, and a boat ramp, River’s Edge Family Campground offers campers the availability to enjoy Bay River’s beauty and bounty from the shoreline or by boat, kayak, canoe or whatever water toy you choose. At River’s Edge, we are truly a family campground: You may come as a stranger, but you will leave as family!

Just imagine living next door to someone who blasts their music at all hours of the night, or lets their dog come and relieve themselves in your yard– it’s easy to say that you wouldn’t be too pleased with that neighbor. Your campground neighbors, although temporary cohabitants, are just as important, and we’d like to encourage you to practice being a good campground neighbor. But, what exactly does that mean?

One of the main complaints that we get from our campers is about dogs. While we welcome dogs onto our campground, we do ask that you follow a few simple rules to ensure that everyone, including your neighbors, can enjoy their stay here. For one, we ask that you clean up after your dogs when they go to the restroom; no one wants to step in a big pile of steaming dog poop first thing in the morning! Also, we ask that you don’t chain, tie, or crate your dog while you’re on the campground. If you leave your campsite, we ask that you take your dog with you (and keep them on a leash when you do); this helps to prevent dogs from getting loose and/or barking and disturbing other campers. Lastly, if you have an aggressive dog, we ask that you don’t bring them with you to the campground for the safety of all of our campers.

Aside from dogs, we sometimes get noise complaints. While we certainly want you to enjoy yourselves when you visit our campsite, we ask that you do so while being mindful of your campsite neighbors. With that in mind, our quiet hours are from 10:00 PM-7:00 AM; during this time, we ask you to keep your noise level to a minimum.

Lastly, we ask that you help keep our campground clean so that everyone can enjoy it. That means that if you use our fire pit or grills, to clean up afterwards and extinguish all fires. We also ask that you don’t leave dishes or personal items in the bathrooms. In addition, please pick up any and all trash around your campground.

At River’s Edge, we’d like to think that you meet lifelong family and friends when you visit. That’s why it’s important to be considerate of your fellow campers and to be a good campground neighbor. We look forward to seeing you soon at River’s Edge in Eastern NC!
